Abu Qilqil is a town situated in the northeastern Aleppo Governorate in northwestern Syria. It is located on the Tishreen Plain, which forms part of the larger Manbij Plain area.
The village is positioned approximately 10 km (6.2 mi) to the northwest of the Tishreen Dam. Other nearby localities include the district center of Manbij, which lies about 16 km (9.9 mi) to the northwest. According to the 2004 census, Abu Qilqil had a population of 2,742 residents.
