Tasil is a town located in southern Syria within the Daraa Governorate. It serves as the administrative center of a nahiyah (subdistrict) that encompasses three localities. The town is situated near several other nearby areas, including Nawa to the northeast, Adawan and ash-Shaykh Saad to the east, Jalin and Tafas to the south, Saham al-Jawlan to the southwest, and Saida and the Golan Heights to the west.
According to data from the Syria Central Bureau of Statistics, Tasil had a population of 15,985 during the 2004 census. The subdistrict it governs had a combined population of 17,778 in that same period. The inhabitants of the area are predominantly Sunni Muslims.
