Tell Abyad, also spelled Tal Abyad, is a town located in northern Syria. It serves as the administrative center for the Tell Abyad District within the Raqqa Governorate.
The town is situated along the Balikh River and is characterized by its unique geography as a divided city. It shares a border with the neighboring city of Akçakale in Turkey.
