Burj Islam is a village located in northwestern Syria within the Latakia Governorate. It is situated north of the city of Latakia and is surrounded by several nearby localities, including Salib al-Turkman to the north, al-Shabatliyah to the northeast, Ayn al-Bayda to the east, and al-Shamiyah to the south.
According to the 2004 census conducted by the Syria Central Bureau of Statistics, the village had a population of 5,652 residents. The inhabitants are predominantly Sunni Muslims of Turkmen ethnicity.
