The Corner is a television drama miniseries that premiered on HBO in the United States on April 16, 2000. The six-part series concluded its run on May 21, 2000, and was later released on DVD in July 2003.
The production is based on the 1997 nonfiction book titled The Corner: A Year in the Life of an Inner-City Neighborhood by David Simon and Ed Burns. It was adapted for television by David Simon and David Mills. The miniseries received critical recognition, winning the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Miniseries in 2000.
