Acajutla

Acajutla is a seaport city located in the Sonsonate Department on the Pacific coast of Central America in El Salvador. It serves as the nation's principal seaport, facilitating the export of significant commodities including coffee, sugar, and Balsam of Peru.

The city is one of seventeen districts within the Sonsonate region. According to data from 1992, the population of Acajutla was recorded at 18,008 residents.
