Sensuntepeque is a city and district located in the Cabañas Department of El Salvador. It serves as the administrative capital of the department and is considered the principal town within the region.
The city is situated at an altitude of 820 metres (2,690 ft) and lies approximately 83 kilometres (52 mi) northeast of the national capital, San Salvador.
