Twango was an online media sharing platform founded in 2004 by Jim Laurel, Philip Carmichael, Randy Kerr, Serena Glover, and Michael Laurel. Based in Redmond, Washington, the site allowed users to repurpose various file types, including photos, videos, audio, and documents.
The service provided tools for users to share, edit, organize, and categorize their media while preserving all original files and metadata. While non-members were permitted to browse the site, uploading capabilities were restricted to members. Basic accounts were offered for free and included 250 megabytes of monthly upload bandwidth.
