Pokigron is a town located in Suriname within the Sipaliwini District, specifically situated in the Boven Suriname municipality (resort). It is positioned on the Upper Suriname River near the Brokopondo Reservoir and serves as a point of transit for the surrounding region. As of 2018, the town had an approximate population of 400 people.
The settlement is situated at the terminus of a paved road that leads from Brownsweg via Avobakaweg. It is frequently referred to as Atjoni, which refers to the nearby quay and signifies the literal end of the road; villages located south of Pokigron are accessible only by boat. The village is home to Maroons of the Saramaka tribe.
