Pakka-Pakka

Suriname

Pakka-Pakka, also known as Pakkapakka or Pakkapakka 1 and Pakkapakka 2, is a Maroon village located within the rainforest of the Boven Saramacca resort in Suriname's Sipaliwini District.

The village was founded in the 1860s and originally served as a home for both Matawai and Kwinti people. It is currently inhabited by the Matawai people.
