Tambacounda is a city located in eastern Senegal. It serves as the regional capital of the Tambacounda province and is situated approximately 400 kilometres (250 mi) southeast of the national capital, Dakar.
As the largest city in the eastern region of the country, Tambacounda had a recorded population of 149,071 in 2023.
