Touba is a city located in central Senegal within the Diourbel Region and Mbacké district. As of 2023, it has a population of 1,120,824, making it the second most populated city in Senegal after the capital, Dakar.
The city serves as the holy site of Mouridism and contains the burial place of its founder, Shaikh Ahmadou Bàmba Mbàcke. A large mosque, which was completed in 1963, stands adjacent to his tomb.
