Yondu Udonta, commonly referred to as Yondu, is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. He is depicted as a spiritual warrior who serves as a founding member of the original Guardians of the Galaxy team within the Earth-691 alternate reality of the Marvel Multiverse.
The character is portrayed as the last survivor of his species from the 31st century following an attack by the Badoon. Yondu possesses the ability to control killing arrows using sound waves, typically through whistling. In addition to his role with the Guardians of the Galaxy, he traveled to present-day Earth and became an honorary member of the Avengers.
