Yengema is a town located in the Nimikoro Chiefdom of the Kono District within Sierra Leone's Eastern Province. It is situated approximately 6 miles (9.7 km) west of Koidu Town and about 142 miles (229 km) east of the capital city, Freetown.
The town serves as a hub for diamond mining and agriculture, which are the primary industries in the surrounding area. It is also home to Yengema Airport, which functions as the main airfield serving the Kono District. As of a 2012 estimate, the population of Yengema was 13,358 people.
