Zgornje Tinsko is a settlement located in eastern Slovenia within the Municipality of Šmarje pri Jelšah. It is situated in the hills south of Šmarje, specifically within the Kozje region.
The area belongs to the traditional region of Styria and is currently part of the Savinja Statistical Region.
