Zelse

Zelše is a village situated in the Inner Carniola region of Slovenia. It is located along the road connecting Cerknica and Postojna, specifically at the northwestern part of the karst Cerknica Polje.

The area surrounding the village is characterized by significant geological features, including the Zelše Caves, which serve as the source of Rak Creek, a sinking stream. Additionally, Big Karlovica Cave, which receives the waters of Stržen Creek, is located to the southwest of the village. Industrial facilities are situated to the east of the settlement.
