Poljcane

Poljčane is a settlement located in northeastern Slovenia within the traditional region of Styria. It serves as the seat of the Municipality of Poljčane and is situated approximately 35 km south of Maribor and 35 km northeast of Celje. The town is positioned in the Dravinja Valley, north of Mount Boč.

The settlement functions as a significant transportation hub, serving as a crossing for two major regional roads connecting Maribor to Rogaška Slatina and Celje to Ptuj. Additionally, the railway line from Ljubljana to Maribor passes through Poljčane, which features its own railway station. Local amenities include a primary school, a health centre, a post office, supermarkets, an inn, and various bars and restaurants.
