Apače is a town situated in Slovenia, positioned on the border with Austria. It serves as the seat of the Municipality of Apače, which holds the distinction of being the northernmost municipality within the traditional region of Slovenian Styria. Administratively, the town currently belongs to the Mura Statistical Region.
The town is located approximately 25 kilometers northeast of Maribor and 20 kilometers west of Murska Sobota. Its geographic position on the international border defines its regional significance within the northern reaches of the Slovenian Styria region.
