Šentjur is a town located in eastern Slovenia. It serves as the seat and largest settlement of the Municipality of Šentjur. Geographically, the town is situated on the Voglajna River, positioned east-southeast of the city of Celje.
The settlement and its surrounding municipality are part of the Savinja Statistical Region. This area is located within the Slovenian portion of the historical Duchy of Styria.
