Sežana is a town situated in the Slovenian Littoral region of Slovenia. It serves as the administrative seat of the Municipality of Sežana and is located on the Karst Plateau.
The town is positioned near the border with Italy, approximately 17 kilometres from Trieste and 80 kilometres from Ljubljana, the capital city of Slovenia.
