Postojna is a town located in the traditional region of Inner Carniola in southwestern Slovenia. Situated approximately 35 kilometers (22 mi) from Trieste, it serves as the seat of the Municipality of Postojna.
The town includes the hamlet of Ravbarkomanda to its northeast. It is primarily recognized for its geographical location within the Slovenian interior near the Italian border.
