Ljubno ob Savinji is the largest settlement and the administrative center of the Municipality of Ljubno in Slovenia. It is situated on the upper course of the Savinja River. The specific name "Ljubno ob Savinji" is used to differentiate the town from other settlements with the same name.
Historically, the settlement belonged to the region of Styria and is currently part of the Savinja Statistical Region. Written records first mention the town in 1247, and it was officially classified as a market town by 1442.
