Kranj is a city located in Slovenia. It serves as the fourth-largest city in the country and functions as the largest urban center within the traditional region of Upper Carniola and the Slovene Alps.
The city is situated approximately 20 kilometres northwest of Ljubljana, which is the national capital of Slovenia. Kranj also serves as the seat of the City Municipality of Kranj.
