Bishan, also known as Peck San, is a residential town and planning area situated in the northernmost portion of the Central Region of Singapore. It occupies a central point within the country and is divided into three distinct subzones: Bishan East, Marymount, and Thomson. The area features a mix of housing types, including numerous private residential properties.
Geographically, Bishan ranks as the 38th largest planning area in Singapore and the 22nd most populated. It holds the 15th rank for population density among the nation's planning areas. The town is bordered by Ang Mo Kio to the north, Toa Payoh to the south, Serangoon to the east, and the Central Water Catchment to the west.
