Västra Frölunda, often referred to simply as Frölunda, is one of the 21 boroughs located within the city of Gothenburg, Sweden. It is situated in the southwestern part of the city and serves as a distinct administrative district.
The borough is characterized by its small geographic footprint, covering an area of 3.72 square kilometres. As of 2004, it had a population of 12,855 residents, making it the smallest of Gothenburg's boroughs. While the specific borough is small, the term Frölunda is commonly used to describe a much larger region encompassing nearly all of the city's western suburbs.
