Tidaholm is a locality and the seat of Tidaholm Municipality located in the Västergötland Province within Sweden's Västra Götaland County. The municipality covers an area of approximately 520 square kilometers, which is slightly more than 200 square miles. As of 2021, the population of the area was 13,000 inhabitants.
The city is situated on the Tidan River, which is notable for being the only river in Sweden that flows north. The municipality's limits include two specific islands: Vulcanön and Turbinhusön. Historically, Vulcanön served as Tidaholm's industrial center, while Turbinhusön was the site of the Turbine.
