Lysekil is a locality and the seat of Lysekil Municipality located in Västra Götaland County, Sweden. As of 2018, the area had a population of approximately 7,600 inhabitants.
The town is situated on the south tip of the Stångenäs peninsula at the mouth of Gullmarn fjord. It is characterized by its natural surroundings, which include two nature reserves.
