Alafors is a town located in Sweden, serving as the seat of Ale Municipality within the Västra Götaland County. Geographically, it is situated off the E45 motorway, approximately 30 km north of Gothenburg and about 1 km from the east bank of the Göta River.
In its current administrative layout, Alafors is considered part of Nödinge-Nol, which is a northeastern neighborhood. The town serves as a primary local hub for the surrounding municipality.
