Arlöv is a city located in Sweden that serves as the seat of Burlöv Municipality within Skåne County. While it functions as an administrative center, it is not statistically defined as a locality of its own. Instead, it forms part of the contiguous urban area of Malmö, situated approximately 5 km northeast of the city's downtown district.
The population of Arlöv accounts for roughly 11,000 of Malmö's total 344,000 inhabitants. Despite its physical integration with Malmö, a public vote held in the 1950s established that Burlöv Municipality would remain independent and never become an official part of Malmö.
