Linköping is a city located in southern Sweden. As of 2024, it has a population of approximately 167,000 inhabitants and serves as the seat of Linköping Municipality and the capital of Östergötland County.
The city is notable for being the episcopal see of the Diocese of Linköping. It is well known for its cathedral, whose steeple dominates the skyline from a distance. Additionally, Linköping serves as the center of an old cultural region and celebrated its 700th anniversary in 1987.
