Leksand is a locality and the seat of Leksand Municipality located in Dalarna County, Sweden. As of 2010, the population of the area was recorded at 5,934 inhabitants.
The town is geographically situated on the southern branch of lake Siljan, where the water flows into the Österdalälven river.
