Umm Ruwaba, also known as Umm Ruwabah, is a city located in the state of North Kordofan in Sudan. It serves as the capital of the Um Rawaba District.
The city was founded by the Ottoman Empire in the late 1820s. It is situated at a strategic junction for important roads and camel caravan routes, positioned approximately 147 kilometres southeast of El Obeid and 184 kilometres west of Rabak.
