Al-Fāw is a port town situated on the Al-Faw Peninsula in Iraq. It is located near the Shatt al-Arab waterway and the Persian Gulf, positioned approximately 100 kilometers from the provincial capital of Basra.
The Al-Faw Peninsula is part of the Basra Governorate. The town has a population of approximately 52,000 people.
