El Manaqil, also known as Al Managil, is a city located in the Al Jazirah state of Sudan. It serves as the administrative capital of the El Manaqil District.
The city is the second largest urban center in Al Jazirah state, following Wad Medani. Population figures for the area vary across different records; while a 2008 census recorded 99,775 residents, other estimates suggest a population of approximately 137,739 as of 2012 and up to 143,000.
