Hafar Al-Batin

Saudi Arabia

Hafar Al-Batin, also frequently spelled Hafr al-Batin, is a city located in the Hafar al-Batin Governorate within the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. It is situated approximately 430 km north of Riyadh and lies relatively close to international boundaries, positioned about 94.2 km from the Kuwait border and 74.3 km from the Iraq border.

The city is geographically defined by its location in the dry valley of the Wadi al-Batin. This area forms part of the larger Wadi al-Rummah river system, which extends inland toward Medina and historically emptied into the Persian Gulf.
