Qatif is a governorate situated in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. Geographically, it extends from Ras Tanura and Jubail in the north to Dammam in the south, reaching from the Persian Gulf coastline in the east to King Fahd International Airport in the west.
The governorate encompasses three major cities: Qatif City, Safwa City, and Saihat City. It also includes numerous towns, villages, and the island of Tarout. Each individual city and town within the region maintains its own sub-municipality that operates under the main municipality.
