Sholi is an American indie, alternative, and experimental music group. The band originated in Davis, California, though its members are currently dispersed throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
The group consists of primary songwriter Payam Bavafa, drummer Jonathon Bafus, and bassist Eric Ruud, with keyboardist Greg Hagel occasionally performing as well. In the autumn of 2008, Sholi signed with Quarterstick Records and Touch and Go Records. Their debut full-length album was released on February 17, 2009, and was produced by Greg Saunier of Deerhoof.
