Sretensk

Sretensk is a town located in Russia and serves as the administrative center of the Sretensky District within Zabaykalsky Krai. It is situated on the right bank of the Shilka River, positioned approximately 385 kilometers (239 miles) east of Chita, which is the administrative center of the krai.

Demographic data shows a declining population over recent decades. According to census records, the town had a population of 10,445 during the 1989 Soviet census, which decreased to 8,192 in 2002 and further fell to 6,850 by the 2010 census.
