Mogocha is a town located in Russia and serves as the administrative center of the Mogochinsky District within Zabaykalsky Krai. It is situated approximately 709 kilometers (441 miles) northeast of Chita, which is the administrative center of the krai.
According to census data, the population of Mogocha has fluctuated over recent decades. The town recorded a population of 13,282 in 2002 and 13,258 in 2010, following a higher count of 17,847 during the 1989 Soviet census.
