Chernyshevsk is an urban settlement located in Russia. It serves as the administrative center of the Chernyshevsky District within the Zabaykalsky Krai region.
The settlement is situated at the confluence of the rivers Aleur and Kuenga. Geographically, it is positioned approximately 389 kilometers north-east of the city of Chita.
