Kansk is a town located in the Krasnoyarsk Krai region of Russia. It is situated on both banks of the Kan River.
According to census data, the population of Kansk has fluctuated over recent decades. The 2010 census recorded a population of 94,226, following figures of 103,000 in 2002 and 109,607 during the 1989 Soviet census.
