Bogotol is a town located in the Krasnoyarsk Krai region of Russia. It is situated approximately 6 kilometers (3.7 mi) from the Chulym River and lies about 252 kilometers (157 mi) west of Krasnoyarsk, which serves as the administrative center of the krai.
According to census data, the population of Bogotol has fluctuated over recent decades. The 2010 census recorded a population of 21,051, following a count of 24,369 in 2002 and 27,752 during the 1989 Soviet census.
