Amurzet is a rural locality in Russia that serves as the administrative center of the Oktyabrsky District within the Jewish Autonomous Oblast. It is situated approximately 250 kilometers (160 miles) from the city of Birobidzhan.
According to census data, the population of Amurzet has fluctuated over recent decades. The locality recorded a population of 6,243 during the 1989 Soviet census, decreasing to 5,382 in 2002, and further declining to 5,051 by the 2010 census.
