Rostov Veliky is a town located in the Yaroslavl Oblast of Russia. Situated on the shores of Lake Nero, it lies approximately 202 kilometers (126 mi) northeast of Moscow. It is recognized as one of the oldest towns in the country.
The town serves as a notable tourist center within the Golden Ring. According to the 2021 census, Rostov Veliky has a population of 30,406 residents.
