Gryazovets is a town located in the Vologda Oblast of Russia. It serves as the administrative center of the Gryazovetsky District and is situated on the banks of the Rzhavka River.
The town is positioned approximately 47 kilometers (29 miles) south of Vologda, which is the administrative center of the oblast. According to census data, the population was recorded at 15,528 in 2010, following a slight decline from 16,172 in 2002 and 16,424 in 1989.
