Murom is a historical city located in Russia's Vladimir Oblast. It is situated on the west bank of the Oka River and borders the Nizhny Novgorod Oblast. The city is positioned approximately 137 kilometres (85 miles) from Vladimir, which serves as the administrative center of the region.
As of the 2021 census, Murom had a population of 107,497 residents. It remains a significant historical site within the Russian landscape.
