Bezhetsk

Bezhetsk is a town located in the Tver Oblast region of Russia. It serves as the administrative center of the Bezhetsky District and is situated on the Mologa River at its confluence with the Ostrechina.

Historically, the settlement was previously known by the name Gorodetsk. According to recent data, the town had a population of 20,618 in 2024, following previous census figures of 24,522 in 2010 and 30,377 in 1989.
