Odoyev is an urban-type settlement located in the western part of the Tula Oblast region in Russia. It serves as the administrative center for the Odoyevsky District and is situated on the left bank of the Upa River, which is a right tributary of the Oka River.
The settlement is positioned approximately 75 kilometres (47 miles) away from the city of Tula. While it currently holds the status of an urban-type settlement, Odoyev previously held town status prior to 1926.
