Aleksin

Aleksin is a town located in the Tula Oblast region of Russia. It serves as the administrative center for the Aleksinsky District and is situated approximately 71 kilometers (44 miles) northwest of Tula, which is the administrative center of the oblast.

According to census data, the population of the town has seen a steady decline over several decades. The 2021 census recorded a population of 57,102, down from 61,732 in 2010, 68,156 in 2002, and 74,274 during the 1989 Soviet census.
