Yelabuga is a town located in the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia. It is situated on the right bank of the Kama River, approximately 200 kilometers (120 mi) east of the regional capital, Kazan.
The population of the town has seen growth over recent decades. According to census data, the population was 53,537 in 1989, 68,663 in 2002, and reached 70,728 by 2010.
